  1. En una olla ponemos el agua a calentar, le añadimos la hoja de laurel lavada, el perejil, la pimienta, las especias amarillas y un chorrillo de aceite. Yo le añado un poco de sal, y cuando esté casi terminado de hacer, lo voy probando, le echo o no más sal.
  2. En un recipiente echamos las lentejas y las lavamos muy bien hasta que el agua salga clara. Yo las echo en un colador grande, y con el grifo abierto con presión 🚿, las voy moviendo con el colador o con la mano, y las añadimos a la olla.
  3. Se pelan los ajos, el tomate, la mitad de una cebolla y sin trocearlos los incorporamos, a ver si lo adivináis, a la olla.
  4. Se pelan las zanahorias y las troceamos, cada aro con un grosor de 1/2 centímetro o poco más y las añadimos a la cocción, y los dos trozos de pimientos, el rojo y el verde.
  5. Pelamos las patatas, las lavamos, las troceamos a cascos e incorporamos a la cocción.
  6. Se dejan hervir durante 35 a 40 minutos hasta que las lentejas estén tiernas, pero alguna vez que otra las movemos con una cuchara de palo para que no se peguen.
  7. Una vez retirado el potaje, sacamos los trozos de pimientos, un casco de patata, los ajos, la cebolla y el tomate para echarlos en el vaso de la batidora, pero de ajos sólo dos. Lo batimos y lo añadimos al resto del potaje y lo movemos para que se mezcle todo muy bien. Y listo para servir.
